Through a Rapist's Eyes - Useful info that saves lives
A quick warning!!!: Contains cuss words to express my anger toward these cowards. If it offends you ignore those words but not this information. Thanks!!!
Pinterest is a life saver in so many ways. Found this informative article while browsing. I felt the need to pass it to everyone I know considering the recent happening in Delhi. I just wanted to say that rape is an coward’s attempt at having sex. Hope those mother f***ers rot in hell and before that let their genital fall off to their horror….and of course there should be hell lot of pain when that happens. Now read the info below and pass it along to any and every women out there.
FYI - Through a rapist’s eyes! A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:
1] The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun! , braid or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common
targets.
2] The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who’s clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around to cut clothing.
3] They also look for women using their cell phone, searching through their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off guard and can be easily overpowered.
4] The number one place women are abducted from / attacked at is grocery store parking lots.
5] Number two is office parking lots/garages.
7] The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to a second location where they don’t have to worry about getting caught.
8] If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn’t worth it because it will be time-consuming.
9] These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas,or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.
10] Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you’re not worth it.
———————————————————————————————————————————-
POINTS THAT WE SHOULD REMEMBER:
1] If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk: can’t believe it is so cold out here, we’re in for a bad winter. Now that you’ve seen their faces and could identify them in a line- up, you lose appeal as a target.
2] If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and yell Stop or Stay back! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they’d leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY
target.
3] If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes,) yelling I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and holding it outill be a deterrent.
4] If someone grabs you, you can’t beat them with strength but you can do it by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm between the elbow and armpit or in the upper inner thigh - HARD. One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it; it really hurts.
5] After the initial hit, always go for the groin. I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy’s parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you’ll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause him a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble, and he’s out of there.
6] When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.
7] Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd behavior, don’t dismiss it, go with your instincts. You may feel little silly at the time, but you’d feel much worse if the guy really was trouble.
——————————————————————————————————————————-
FINALLY, PLEASE REMEMBER THESE AS WELL ….
I know you are smart enough to know these pointers but there will be some, where you will go “hmm I must remember that” After reading, forward it to someone you care about, never hurts to be careful in this crazy world we live in.
1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do it.
2. Learned this from a tourist guide to New Orleans : if a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you…. chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won’t see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives.
4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit
(doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc. DON’T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU CLOSE the DOORS , LEAVE.
5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:
a. Be aware: look around your car as someone may be
hiding at the passenger side , peek into your car, inside the passenger side floor, and in the back seat. ( DO THIS TOO BEFORE RIDING A TAXI CAB) .
b. If you! u are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.
c. Look at the car parked on the driver’s side of your vehicle, and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)
6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot).
7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN!
8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often
asked “for help” into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.
Send this to any woman you know that may need to be reminded that the world we live in has a lot of crazies in it and it’s better safe than sorry.

Dry shampoo
Hi Beauties,
How have you lovely ladies been? I've been sick since long thanx to the weather in Mumbai, work's been crazy, and most of my posts are lying in my lappy completely useless and inaccessible.
Back to todays topic Dry Shampoo? A little information on it:
What is dry shampoo?
Dry shampoo is a powdered substance used to clean the hair when you want to extend the length of a blowout or when it is not practical to use water and traditional shampoo.
Why use dry shampoo?
When you’re strapped for time and you need to freshen up, dry shampoo serves as a fantastic option. Modern, busy women swear by dry shampoos!
How does dry shampoo work?
The ingredients in dry shampoo soak up oil and dirt on the scalp. When your hair appears greasy, it’s usually just the roots (close to the scalp) that need to be refreshed. Applying a dry shampoo effectively soaks up any oil and dirt, leaving your hair looking refreshed and clean.
How to use dry shampoo?
There are basically two types of dry shampoos: ones that come in a loose powder form and ones that come in an aerosol (spray) form. Powder dry shampoos can be applied directly on to the scalp from the bottle and either brushed through or massaged in using your fingers. Dry shampoo aerosols can be sprayed directly onto the scalp from a few inches away and likewise may need to be brushed or massaged through the area.
I had read and heard a lot about dry shampoo on the internet before I actually bought it. Me and my sister entered sephora, and as we did I told her to keep an eye out for dry shampoo, my little sis turned around stared at me like I was coocoo & yelled "How can shampoo be dry?" And after a lot of explaining and searching I finally got my hands on an sephors own brand of aerosol dry shampoo. I don't remember its price though sorry about that.
I absolutely loved the dry shampoo, it gave me grease free hair with a slight lift at the roots. I used it whenever I needed a little help on those lazy days. But alas its over now & we don't have sephora yet in Mumbai. So I was back on my search for another dry shampoo.
I checked my moms old or should I say ancient journal with all her scribbings and found a rather intresting use of cornstarch. It said to sprinkle cornstarch on a comb and run it through your hair for reducing greaseness. I discussed it with my friend and I went straight to lush to check out their dry shampoo called No Drought its a powder based product. And to my amazement cornstarch was one of the main ingredients of the shampoo.
So I rushed home and tried cornstarch exactly the way in my moms journal and it produced the same result that the No Drought did with only the lemony fragrance missing. I was amazed at the result and I wasn't going to spend Rs.800 on cornstarch and lemon oil.
So me and my mom decided to crack our heads and we came up with this diy. I have dark hair, so I addes non sweetened cocoa powder to it (those of you who have light hair just skip cocoa powder ). You can add more or less cocoa powder as needed depending on how dark your hair is.
Supplies for powder dry shampoo:
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tbsp baking soda
2 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
Spoon for mixing
Small jar for storing
Mix everything together in a small jar and you're ready to go. Just take a little of this mix and work it in your scalp till you can't see any remnants of the mix. Special bonus with this one: smelling like chocolate. :D
Now for the spray version, although this spray-on shampoo isn’t technically dry since it relies on alcohol and water, it will refresh your roots and combat odor without having to wet your whole head and shampoo/condition.
You can purchase ethanol alcohol,if your lucky which is available as certified organic and is commonly used in organic cosmetics products. If you’re not picky, you can also use ethyl alcohol (also known as rubbing alcohol) which can be found at most pharmacies its similar to the stuff the doctors apply before giving you an injection, or use vodka or witch hazel whichever is easily available.
You may be shrieking at the thought of putting alcohol on your head, but no worries—alcohol is in most hair products anyway. The concentration is diluted so that it won’t dry out your hair (more than it’s intended to, that is). Alcohol and cornstarch are natural degreasers, so when water and the alcohol, an odor-killer, evaporate on your scalp, the cornstarch, a slow dissolver, remains to soak up the excess oils and keep you fresh.
Now the supplies for the aerosol dry shampoo:
1 tbsp of cornstarch
4 tbsp of water
1 tbsp of rubbing alcohol or organic ethanol or vodka or witch hazel
A few drops of essential oil optional
Small mixing bowl
Small spray bottle
Mix all the ingredients well and pour in the spray bottle. Shake the ingredients up to mix each time you use. Spray into roots, just enough to dampen. Brush out into hair, then use your hairdryer, fluffing with your fingers as you go or let it air dry.
I have used both diy dry shampoos and I prefer the powder one just because the ingredients of the aerosol one are not easily available here in Mumbai as they were in Dubai or as in some other countries.
( I have tried uploading this through my phone and I have no clue as to how the end result will be so I apologies in advance)
Till later.

My hair story
Hi My Beauties,
I'm gonna talk about my hair today, not that I have amazing hair but its for me to tell others out there that I'm just like them. I have female pattern baldness which I discovered due to my friend.
Now let me take you back to when I was small. Back then I had curly hair but then suddenly they decided to get straight and now I'm 25 yrs with wavy hair. I always had flimsy thin lifeless hair all my life. I always had gaps between two hairs always so I never thought it was an issue.
The above picture is of me when I was around 2 or 3 years, notice the cute curly hair.
I never oiled my hair when I was schooling. When I started my 11th standard I decide to start applying oil to my hair it was a strange concoction my Granny made. A continuous use of this resulted in my hair becoming thick as in each strand of hair thickened. So I was all happy thinking I'm getting better.
But then I suddenly got blessed with dandruff not extremely flaky kind but kinda like chalk dust. I went to a doctor and he prescribe me some mediated lotions to apply on the scalp and that pretty much solved my problem. And I went about my daily regime of oiling my hair and once in a while head masses at the beauty parlour.
But while doing my mba I started noticing a lot of hairfall and most of it I attributed to stress. So I didn't bother much since I thought it would last till my mba got over. But to my luck its still happening. So my friend suggested I go to Richfeel.
I went to Richfeel in the month of October 2012 there I met up with a doctor and they asked me some diet related questions and asked me to get a sonography done. (The visit to the gynecologist is a whole other funny story which I'll share with you later)
So I got the sonography done and I went to Richfeel again. There they checked my scalp and told me that my scalp was too oily and yanked out a few hair outta my head and said that I would have to come again next week. But she suggested I be prepared coz an oily scalp is a beginning to female pattern baldness.
So next week came quickly which I was dreading coz I was afraid of having female pattern baldness like my friend.I was praying that I was as luck as my friends sister, coz that girl was given some medicines which has resulted in her getting new hair on her head.
But as the doctor sat me down I knew that my ship has sunk sorry for the drama but trust me finding out that I'm gonna get bald like a man is not something for a 25 year old me to take smiling. The doctor went on saying that I have stage two female patterned baldness. On hearing that all I could do is stare at her, I had absolutely nothing to say.
Though she kept telling me that each woman on this planet due to our lifestyle is at different stages of baldness. But this only scared me more. I explained to her that I wanted to get rid of it but unfortunately I couldnt all they could do I prolong the stage so that I don't get bald soon.
I wanted to cry real badly coz it was not like I had bad hair I was blessed with silky smooth soft hair which I loved but now I was loosing them. She immediately started me on medication which is for a year and recommended that I completely stop red meat and she gave me a do's n don't list. They gave me oil and shampoo to use too. They also recommended that I do a course of 12 sittings of tst which is like a small shock is set through your scalp using a glass comb.
Since I was going to Dubai I couldn't opt for it. The entire procedure with medicines and all costed me around 20k. After 3months of staying in Dubai and on the medication I noticed that my periods got regular to the date and my hair started getting a little thick. Other than that I did not notice any difference. Below pic is my current hair situation notice the gap.
After my 3 month stay in Dubai I immediately went to Richfeel to ask about their new treatment called anagrow. Its supposed to be a new technology and its supposed to have 12 sitting. Along with this they would give us a derma roller to use at home along with the plant stem cells to apply at home. This entire treatment of 12 sitting and derma roller and 48 packs of stem cell solution would cost me 40K. I was flabbergasted hearing the price and realizing the fact that she had no idea about its side effects.
I was too scared as they said that during the sitting they would extract all the oil that is clogging my pores. I was too scared so I opted otherwise. I'm continuing the course that I have and I'm planning to purchase the machine used in the tst treatment Which will cost only 2000 Rs.
All I would like to tell everyone is you all are not alone, there are many of you suffering out there with female pattern baldness. Its better for us to accept that we suffer from a sickness rather than living in shame.
I know many of you might think its easy for someone who still has hair on her head to talk but trust me I know how you feel. I was embarrassed I didn't wanna leave home, I didn't feel like washing my hair thinking that my hair will fall, then I realized if it has to fall it will I can't stop it. If doctors and scientists haven't found a way to stop it then how can I. I just have learnt to accept it.
I poured my heart out for you guys today I hope you appreciate it. Those suffering from it take comfort in the fact that I'm with you and those not suffering please take care of your hair and be considerate to the one's suffering from it.
Till I see you guys again.
